Handicap and official records

GolfVectorLab can walk through how a Course Handicap or Playing Handicap is calculated under the World Handicap System using values you supply. It does not issue a Handicap Index, submit a score to an official handicap record, or replace your golf association's posting process. For an official handicap or a question about your specific club or association's procedure, contact your golf association, the USGA, or The R&A directly.

Rules of Golf

Educational explanations on GolfVectorLab reference published rules concepts but are not a rules authority. GolfVectorLab does not provide a ruling for an active competition. If a rules question arises during a round, resolve it under the current Rules of Golf and, in competition, through the committee in charge of that competition.

Course, GPS, and live data

GolfVectorLab does not maintain live course data, GPS positioning, tee sheets, or weather feeds. Any course information used in an engine is the information you enter yourself.

Equipment and fitting

Equipment-fit reasoning on GolfVectorLab compares broad categories against your stated bag and goals. It is not a substitute for a professional, in-person club fitting, does not recommend a specific retail product, and does not guarantee that a category-level suggestion will fit your swing.

Practice, conditions, and in-competition use

Condition-adjusted planning ranges and practice session tools are built for practice and casual-round preparation. They are not intended as live, in-competition shot advice, and should not be consulted during a round for a decision governed by competition rules.
